Enterprise backs outreach jab service

Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip visited AIA Hong Kong & Macau today to view the administering of the BioNTech vaccine to about 400 people as arranged by the Government's outreach vaccination service.   Mr Nip said it is encouraging that various enterprises have joined the Government in promoting the Early Vaccination for All campaign and called on their employees to receive vaccination.   He hopes that vaccinated citizens will also encourage their family members and friends to get the jab to help build an immune barrier in Hong Kong.   The outreach vaccination programme has received enthusiastic support since its launch, with vaccination services provided for the Hong Kong Sports Institute, global professional services enterprises, property developers, financial institutions and more. http://dlvr.it/S4y8xb

Kam Tin land set for housing

The Lands Department will resume 108 private lots in Yuen Long for public housing development.   The lots, with a total area of about 12.3 hectares, are in Sites 1, 4a-1 and 6 of Kam Tin South. Notices for the land resumption were posted today and the lots will revert to the Government on June 5.   The Government will liaise with the relevant land owners and affected households and business undertakings, and properly handle their compensation and rehousing matters.   The lots will provide about 8,100 housing units upon full completion, with the first batch of population intake expected in 2026 to 2027.
