Tuen Mun testing exercise done

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the restricted area in Tuen Mun finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.   It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday evening, requiring people within the specified area to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.   The area covered JC Place Tower 1 in Castle Peak Bay where 380 citizens were tested.   In the subsequent enforcement operation, about 100 people’s test records were checked. Nobody was found to have not undergone mandatory testing.   Government staff also visited around 120 households in the restricted area, of which six did not answer the door. 2.08m COVID-19 jabs administered

About 2,081,100 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 1,227,100 people receiving their first dose and about 853,900 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 527,000 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 700,100 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 388,300 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 465,600 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 5,100 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 4,700 people received their second dose under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 8,800 people received their first dose at community vaccination centres (CVCs) and about 12,000 people received their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is 96%, the same as the BioNTech one.   As of 8pm, about 4,500 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 8,100 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, 10 people were sent to hospitals.
