Testing compliance checks done

The Government today completed enforcement operations at Block 6 of Hanford Garden in Tuen Mun and Goldwin Heights at 2 Seymour Road in Mid-Levels, which were earlier included in compulsory testing notices.   The Civil Service Bureau conducted the Tuen Mun enforcement action from around 8.30am to 11.30am, while the Central & Western District Office carried out the Mid-Levels operation from around 8am to 11am.   Both actions were conducted together with Police and the Department of Health.   The Government arranged for staff to verify the testing certifications of people subject to compulsory testing at the buildings’ entrances and exits.   During the operations, the test records of about 200 people in Block 6 of Hanford Garden and about 430 people in Goldwin Heights were checked.   As a result, seven people in total were found to have violated the compulsory testing notice and were issued with a compulsory testing order.    A fixed penalty notice of $10,000 was also iss

3.45m vaccine doses administered

About 3,452,500 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 2,092,200 people receiving their first dose and around 1,360,300 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 912,500 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 1,179,600 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 556,400 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 803,900 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 14,800 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 7,500 people received their second dose under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 20,500 people received their first dose and about 14,900 people received their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centres is about 97%, while it is 99% for the BioNTech one.   As of 8pm, about 6,900 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 26,500 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, six people were sent to hospitals.
