Tuen Mun testing exercise done

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the restricted area in Tuen Mun finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.   It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday evening, requiring people within the specified area to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing.   The area covered JC Place Tower 1 in Castle Peak Bay where 380 citizens were tested.   In the subsequent enforcement operation, about 100 people’s test records were checked. Nobody was found to have not undergone mandatory testing.   Government staff also visited around 120 households in the restricted area, of which six did not answer the door. 5.71m vaccine doses administered

About 5,719,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 3,256,100 people receiving their first dose and around 2,462,900 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 1,275,900 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 1,980,100 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 990,700 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 1,472,300 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 55,800 people received jabs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   About 6,200 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 7,300 people received their second dose.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 22,400 people received their first dose and around 19,700 people got their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centres is about 96%, while it is about 98% for the BioNTech one.   As of 8pm, about 4,200 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 23,100 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, nine people were sent to hospitals.
