More HZMB private car quotas set

The governments of Hong Kong and Macau have agreed to increase the regular quotas for Hong Kong cross-boundary non-commercial private cars using the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to Macau, the Transport Department announced today.   The decision was made to enhance traffic flow between Hong Kong and Macau, better utilising the bridge, the department said.   It will increase the Hong Kong quota by 1,000, following the earlier quota allocation of 1,800 for Hong Kong.   The additional quota will be distributed in two phases from the second quarter.   Half of the additional 1,000 quota allocations is for company applicants and the other half is for individual applicants. The quotas are valid for no more than three years. 4 imported COVID-19 cases detected

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating four additional COVID-19 cases, all of which are imported.   Three of the new cases involve mutant strains and the mutation test result of the remaining case is pending.   Among the four patients, aged 37 to 51, three arrived in Hong Kong from the Philippines while the other one came from Saudi Arabia.   Two of them tested positive for the virus during quarantine while the other two tested positive by the test-and-hold arrangement upon arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport.   The centre reminded specified people linked to Tower 10, Phase 3 - The Graces, Providence Bay in Tai Po to undergo compulsory testing in accordance with the compulsory testing notice tomorrow.   A total of 58 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, all of which are imported.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
