4 arrested for disorderly conduct

Police arrested four people after noticing that some individuals were displaying protest items that contained seditious wordings, chanting and committing unlawful acts in the vicinity of Causeway Bay since the afternoon of June 3.   Police announced the arrests in a statement and explained that upon investigation, they arrested the four individuals on suspicion of disorder in public places and doing an act or acts with seditious intention.   Additionally, four other people suspected of breaching public peace were brought to the police station for further investigation.   The force stressed that they are highly concerned about people attempting to incite and provoke others to commit illegal acts that endanger national security, public order and public safety.   Apart from stepping up patrols and enhancing intelligence-gathering, Police added that they will closely monitor the situation of various districts and strive to prevent and combat crimes. http://dlvr.it/Sq8xN8

12.2k COVID-19 cases in HK

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is looking into 12,240 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 4,250 were detected by nucleic acid tests and 7,990 were identified via rapid antigen tests.   At a press briefing this afternoon, the centre’s Principal Medical & Health Officer Dr Albert Au noted that 1,075,519 cases have been identified and 6,356 patients have passed away since the onset of the fifth wave of the epidemic.   Separately, the Government made restriction-testing declarations to cover several buildings where sewage samples tested positive for the virus.   They include Chui King House of Choi Hung Estate in Wong Tai Sin, Yau Ning House of Tin Yau Court in Tin Shui Wai, Kwai Tung House of Tung Tau (II) Estate in Wong Tai Sin and Tsui Mui House of Tsui Ping (North) Estate in Kwun Tong   As positive sewage test results were found in several housing estates and buildings in Kwun Tong, North District, Kwai Tsing, Yuen Long and Kowloon City, the district offices will distribute COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits to relevant residents as well as cleaning workers and property management staff working in such areas from tomorrow.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
